Shanthimalai Nag Champa
Shanthimalai Nag Champa is a Red Nag Champa. It is created using red sandalwood, which has a bitter, sharper note to it. Some say it is one of the most complex sandalwoods that there is. This incense is handcrafted by village women at the base of Arunachala, the holy mountain in Tamil Nadu, India. Shanthimalai Nag Champa is produced by local women in nearby villages and the company teaches them the art of making incense. It is a cottage industry, supporting women and also providing training, education and support for those who are unable to be employed through normal channels in the local area.
