White Copal resin, 2 ounces, in an amber glass jar. This resin is not self-combusting and needs a heat source such as charcoal. It is perfect for making your own incense sticks or burning on charcoal. White copal is sometimes used along with sage for purifying and cleansing. Copal is very popular in Central and South America as well as in the USA. It is used as offerings in churches and in religious ceremonies. Copal is one of the incenses used on altars on "El Dia De Los Muertos"-or Day of the Dead.
When the copal is burnt, it liquifies, and smokes. Please use proper utensils and dishes for combusting.
Jar is not labeled for practitioners who prefer to do their own labeling, which could include date purchased, correspondences, best time to use etc. I put a handwritten note in the jar stating what it is, that can be removed.
Amber glass jar can be repurposed after the resin is gone. It works great to hold your own incense resin mixes, or any item that does better when protected from sunlight.

An outstanding purchase. This resin was used by the Mayans in their ceremonies and it is easy to see why they held it in such high regard. It has a marvelous scent. Very different from other resins.
